Had a fantastic experience at House of Mumbai! Everything we tried was delicious. The Pav Vada and Indian-style sandwich were packed with flavor, and the chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The Black Dal was rich, creamy, and comforting — definitely one of my favorites. We finished with dessert, which was the perfect ending to the meal. Great food, wonderful flavors, and excellent service. Highly recommend House of Mumbai if you’re looking for authentic and flavorful Indian food! ❤️🇮🇳

House of Bombay is a wonderful new addition to the Edison Indian food scene! From the outside it appears to be a classic NJ diner; however the moment you step inside you’re transported. Beautiful lighting, furniture and atmosphere with everything imported from India create a warm and cheerful environment. The staff were kind and welcoming, and although still in their soft launch phase, we found the menu to have a large variety of wonderful sounding and looking items. We started with the Pav bhaji and the HOB special Aloo patice chaat, both of which were delicious, with strong fresh flavors. The sourdough like all the other breads, spices, and sauces are made in house and taste fresh and delicious. We had the Missi roti and burrata saag which was silky and went incredibly well along side the laal mass and baati. The laal Maas was incredibly tender, very smoky and slightly spicy. We also got the koli meen moilee which is a fantastic fragrant fish curry. All of the dishes we ordered had a wonderful balance of spice and flavor, and all together made for an incredibly special meal. House of Bombay is one of the most beautiful new additions to Edison’s dining scene. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported to old Bombay. The interiors are stunning, with vintage-inspired décor, checkered marble floors, cozy lounge seating, elegant lighting, and thoughtful details that make the entire space feel warm, nostalgic, and incredibly photogenic. A special shout-out to Siddhesh, who took wonderful care of us throughout the evening. He was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations that made our first visit even more enjoyable. We sampled a good portion of the soft launch menu: 🥟 Appetizers * Vada Pav * Keema Pav * HOB Special Aloo Pattice Chaat * Mini Papad & Chutney * Bharva Paneer Tikka * Yogurt Bombs 🍛 Mains * Paneer Dhaniya Adriki ⭐ * Butter Chicken * HOB Special Chef Sunil’s Dal Makhani ⭐ * Jeera Rice * Garlic Naan * Masala Kanda While the appetizers were enjoyable and beautifully presented, the mains were the true stars of the meal. We got incredibly lucky to experience House of Bombay during its soft opening, and what an unforgettable first visit! The owner himself came to our table, took the time to learn what we enjoy, and personally recommended the dishes. You could immediately feel the passion, care, and pride behind the restaurant. Every single dish was exceptional. The HOB Special Aloo Pattice Chaat absolutely blew my mind. The combination of crispy potato cakes, whipped yogurt, mint, tamarind chutney, and sev created one of the most unique and delicious flavor combinations I’ve ever had. We also ordered the Truffle Kulcha, Gateway Chicken Tikka, and Charred Tandoori Lamb Chops, and every bite was incredible. To top it off, Yogurt Bombs, were absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful surprise. This isn’t just another Indian restaurant. The flavors are bold, creative, and beautifully balanced while staying true to their roots. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put real thought into every dish!If you appreciate high-quality food and unique flavor combinations is a must-visit place!!! We can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

Had a great experience here! The food was delicious, and the ambience was warm and inviting. The appetizers were definitely the highlight of the meal—everything we tried was flavorful and well prepared. The rest of the food was excellent as well, and the service made for an enjoyable dining experience.
